2005 May/June - Our very 1st drama competition
u'll nv expect this...in fact i nv expected this at all...
SHINE n the rest are going to challenge something that they have never tried before!!!!!!
DRAMA: FAIRY TALE
At first, i heard the news about the drama competition from Aunty Nancy in cruise..she told me that she saw the newspapers & saw this competition that opens out to the public & also schools..wow...that's so interesting man...so exciting...haha...when me & shimin 1st heard about this..we were also very excited!!WHAHA...mm...drama...sth that im VERY interested too...OMG...everything is going to be damm interesting lor...haha
So the 3days in cruise...i nv rested my brain cells at all...for those 3 nights(nv really slp for those 3 nights)...when those kids are enjoying their good night slp in the balcony room bed & the adults are enjoying their game in the 'gambling den'...i was the ONLY one awake in the room with those kids...keeping the TV on...(coz scared too quiet whaha)...sitting on the sofa bed...putting on my thinking cap..cracking my head on which fairy tale to use, what story plot, who shld act wat, how shld i do that, how this, how that...although it was really a challenging job, taking lots of my time, really stress me alot...but then...im doing sth that i REALL REALLY LOVE...so all doesn't matter at all...because everything that i do...i really enjoy...
everyday, anywhere, anytime...i'll keep on thinking about ideas about this competition..& as long as there's a little free time, i'll always make full use of it to write the script..i want to show to everyone that i can do it...i really enjoy it...
BUT...getting everyone together is really another different thing...getting them to cooperate is really a challenging job...on top of that, our time slots are really very different & hard to compromise...therefore time is a really precious thing for us...time is very limited...
dunno why..out of a sudden..i juz feel that watever that i've done...is...useless...no one really appreciate the efforts that i've placed in...i told myself nvm...coz at least i get to do sth that i truely love...in addition to that, becoz of this competition it really bonded SHINE n the rest of our families together...
THE DAY BEFORE THE COMPETITION....
time is really really very limited that's Y even on the day before the competition we r NOT prepared at all!!! AH!!! & that's not all!!! Boon Keong is running high fever!!! Actually me too...haix...but then..i nv told anyone...coz this competition mean alot to me...all my hard work, sweat, slpless nights & blood...n oso...no one would care about wat happen to me...coz they probably juz think that im throwing my temper again..but then...haix...it's juz that im really not feeling well...haix...sob sob...even my mom doesn't care....
looking at how shimin take cares of her brother...im really damm touched man...she always fight with him..but then when Boon keong is sick...she goes out to help him...no matter what...haix...but then....haix...nvm about me lar...at least the good thing was...i got better the nxt day => n Boon Keong also recovered =>
THE COMPETITION...
k...we r all ready...all in full dress...all the props ready(actually im very proud of the props myslef => heehee)...we remebered everything in our scrpit...soon...it'll be our turn...but then...irritating...my fever came back again...i muz press on...everyone is doing fine...i cant let them down...no matter wat...today we'll show the hard work of everyone...i cant destroy the whole thing...i will make it thru....i can i can...
ITS OUR TURN ON STAGE!!!!
we were very nervous...very very...our very 1st time trying out a drama...in front of so many people...in front of professional judges...soon...it has come to an end...very fast...all our hard work, our time, our efforts...
at the end...when uncle laurence showed us the video tape...i was very touched..i know that everyone put in all their heart into it...it was a wonderful show...i loved it...i really do...

But then...in competition...there will certainly be winners & losers....sadly to say we belonged to the latter...sob sob...BUT then again...we are NOT losers at all...we won the BOND between each other... we got to understand each other more...& we won the time...the times that brings us together...we won sth very precious too...memoriese of our times together....
